We are hiring!

Hours: 32-40 hrs/week, Monday-Friday 8-4 or 9-5
Position Pay: $22/hr (previous case management experience will increase starting pay)
Benefits: 3 weeks PTO and sick (each) per year, IRA with 3% match, Health Reimbursement Account, sabbatical policy
Degree or Certification Required: None at hire, Community Health Worker certification required within 90 days (we will facilitate this)

Hiring priority will be given to individuals who are bilingual (Spanish preferred) and those who have extensive knowledge of: substance use, treatment, and/or harm reduction services; homelessness or major housing insecurity; historically oppressed and/or underserved groups (including people who are: BIPOC; LGBTQIA2S+; living with HIV/AIDS or other chronic illnesses; living with a disability; living with a mental health diagnosis; veterans; formerly incarcerated; or survivors of domestic violence/intimate partner violence)

The Resource Navigator is a full-time, direct service role that supports individuals experiencing homelessness or housing instability. This position provides trauma-informed, harm-reduction-based case management that includes assessment, goal setting, referrals, crisis support, and follow-up. Resource Navigators help participants connect with services such as healthcare, addiction treatment, mental health care, housing programs, Oregon Health Plan enrollment, and HRSN benefits. This position works collaboratively with other agencies and programs to ensure seamless coordination of care.

This is not a supervisory position.

Most of your time will be spent…

  • Helping people set goals and navigate housing, health, and social service systems
  • Completing program intake, assessments, and service plans with participants
  • Making referrals and coordinating care with other providers
  • Working with internal staff in other programs to provide wraparound care
  • Supporting people in crisis using de-escalation and trauma-informed strategies
  • Assisting with Oregon Health Plan enrollment and HRSN benefit access
  • Providing light navigation support for transportation, financial assistance, and basic needs
  • Accurately documenting all services in a timely and confidential manner

  • Experience or interest in housing, health access, or social services
  • Strong emotional maturity and a calm, steady presence
  • The ability to connect with people across differences while maintaining professional boundaries
  • A nonjudgmental approach and commitment to harm reduction
  • Strong time management and documentation skills
  • Comfort with using Google Workspace (email, Docs, Sheets) and willingness to learn databases
  • Drive to learn more about best practices in supportive services

There are a few requirements for this position:

  • COVID-19 immunization (first round at least)
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and climb stairs
  • Reliable transportation to get to your designated worksite
  • Community Health Worker certification required within 90 days of hire (we will provide support)
